He completed his internship and residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Patel obtained his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ)-New Jersey Medical School (NJMS) and was selected to be a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society. He then earned his Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and worked in the field for two years before pursuing a medical degree.ĭr. Patel graduated Summa Cum Laude and as Salutatorian in his class from Rutgers University with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering.
